About me...

I was born in Portsmouth in 1976, the youngest of four children. From a young age all I wanted to do was create. Whether it was creating characters, stories or drawings, I knew my passion lay in Theatre, Film and Entertaining.

In 1996, aged almost 20 I moved to London and attended Mountview Theatre School (as it was known then) and 3 years later moved swiftly into the unemployed actor business. I look back on that time with fondness, working the audition circuit whilst earning a living any way an actor could: tour guide of London, wench in the London Dungeon, plus size model for Marks & Spencer and Evans, and anything else I could lay my eager little hands on.

In 2006 I joined the legendary Roundhouse in Camden where I became Venue Manager for 3 years managing gigs for high calibre artists such as George Michael, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Patti Smith, Kaiser Chiefs and Paul McCartney. I also worked with The Royal Shakespeare Company as a project manager on their celebrated Histories season which remains one of my favourite projects to date.

In 2009 I joined Riverside Studios and also worked as Venue Manager for their sister company Assembly Festival where I was lucky enough to spend my summers in Edinburgh, also producing my own shows and working with a great team, as well as artists from all over the world including the legendary Jim Henson Company and comedians such as Sarah Millican, Adam Hills and Andy Parsons.

In 2010 I created the Twin Peaks UK Festival, which was an annual celebration of David Lynch and Mark Frost's TV show, Twin Peaks. The festival featured stars from the show, screenings, live Theatre performances, live music, Visual Arts, immersive elements and fans from all over the world. The festival was officially licenced by CBS and Twin Peaks Productions in 2015 and ran for 10 years. Also in 2015, I was asked by Octopus Books to create a Twin Peaks inspired cookbook. 'Damn Fine Cherry Pie' was published in November 2016 and is now on sale worldwide, with the latest publication being in France (Amazon link below).

'Damn Fine Cherry Pie' really started my love of writing and I have now penned several short stories, a personal blog, guest authored for several publications and also 2 screenplays, one of which is now in pre-production

So with a new year comes new ventures. As part of my blog, I have just launched a series called 'Conversations...' which is a celebration of all the talented industry professionals I have around me daily in my working and personal life. With several new projects in the pipeline, life is pretty good!
